November is NaNoWriMo!

Updated: Nov 5, 2020

Let's talk NaNoWriMo!

If you've never heard of it, November is National Novel Writing Month. The goal is to essentially write a book in a month (or about 50,000 words). Thousands of people from all over the world get together and cheer each other on, trying to hit those word count goals. Cool, huh?

Yep. I thought so too.

I wrote the bulk of my first book (Beneath the Fallen City) during NaNoWriMo about seven years ago. I've been a huge fan and participating ever since. This year isn't going to be any different.

If you're interested, check it out here: https://nanowrimo.org/

It's free to create an account. You'll get to meet some other aspiring writers and join some writing sprints. Plus, it's just plain FUN!

All it takes to win is to write roughly 1,666 words a day. That's it. But even if you only write 50, 500, or 5,000 words.... you're going to be that much closer to your goal!

If you want to give it a try, feel free to friend me. I use the name "jamie-waters" (without the quotes). You can also friend my by visiting my profile: https://nanowrimo.org/participants/jamie-waters

Come write with me!
